Why We Started Latheevah — and What We Are Building

Latheevah did not start because we identified a gap in the market. It started because we experienced that gap personally. The experience of walking into a fashion space — physical or digital — and finding that nothing was made for you. That the clothes assumed a different kind of body, a different kind of life, a different set of values.

That experience is what Latheevah is the answer to.

The problem we set out to solve

Modest fashion has grown enormously over the past decade. But growth is not the same as quality, and availability is not the same as respect. There are more modest fashion options today than ever before — but too many of them are hurried, poorly constructed, and designed with the assumption that the modest customer is grateful for anything at all.

We do not share that assumption. The Latheevah customer is discerning. She has taste. She knows what she wants, and she is willing to invest in pieces that deliver it. Our entire brand exists to meet that standard.

What Latheevah means

The name carries its own significance — a sense of delicacy, refinement, and something beyond the ordinary. We chose it because it reflects the woman we are dressing: someone who moves through the world with quiet power and considered grace.

What we are building

Latheevah is not just a clothing brand. We are building a community and a standard. Every piece in our collection is selected with intention. Every partnership we make is considered. Our alterations service — Simply Threads — exists because we believe in the longevity of quality garments, and in the relationship between a woman and the clothes she loves.

We are also building for the future. Our sister brand, Eswid, will serve the modest woman who lives an active life — fitness wear and yoga pieces designed around coverage, performance, and aesthetic. Watch this space.
